prototype killswitch

seven weapons and one arm lighter.

So I got up in front of people with a bunch of other rad lady artists last weekend at Wasted Years, and painted a canvas live.  I was so nervous beforehand that I didn’t even really tell anyone that it was happening (because I am daft).
But I’m super glad I didn’t wuss out, it was a really fun (if ENTIRELY EXHAUSTING) experience, and I’d totally do it again.  For amusement value here is a picture of me painting it also.
Bonus points for people who get my terrible t-shirt pun.
Some old fashion illustrations I did for marie claire magazine - I realised they never made their way on here, so I’m posting them in a fit of shameless nostalgia.  Bonus points to anyone who can recognise which year it was just from the clothes.  L-R: Balenciaga, Burberry, Dries Van Noten, Chanel.
And an actual kinda portrait of a different friend because I haven’t gotten my cartoon-ey style out for a little while.
A sort of typographic portrait of a friend of mine.
Hipster satyr - because apparently I’m now combining drawing dudes with drawing antlers/horns.  I’m working in ever-decreasing circles!

(also thanks to 00blackberry00 for a little bit of leopard tattoo inspiration)
Antlers.  Because why not, I guess?
‘Those who kill snakes get killed by snakes.’ - Rudyard Kipling
I want to start doing these kind of type sketches more regularly - I might tidy this one up and finish it properly later ‘cos I like it (maybe do some proper snake scales and fix the shading?).
Practising drawing dudes, because all I draw is not dudes.

I kind of wish I still had a scanner made more recently than the 1990s which worked with my current computer.  Oh well, mobile phone shots for now!
