Anonymous said: Hello so I love your WTNV design and I was wondering if I would have your permission to use it on a shirt. The shirt will not be for sale or profit;just my own enjoyment. I would be crediting you on the shirt as well.

HI anon - thanks for asking, that’s super rad of you.  If it’s just one shirt for you to use and not for profit, and includes the credit, that’s ok!  :3

So monkeh tweeted that she got some blood on her skates in an otherwise routine derby accident - this lead to an extended conversation about how her skates were now cursed, clearly, and what would it be like to skate in super-powered cursed skates, and then of course that totally sounds like a comic, which lead all the way to this.  I honestly think it’d make a seriously boss comic, you know…then I’d just have to find another 24hrs in the day to draw it?

When you find your old oekaki gallery… man I need to do that again - there’s something kinda fun about the limitations of it.  Also you get a neat animation of your drawing process to be horrified at afterwards.

Once upon a time, I started working on a game with a friend.  It didn’t end up getting finished, but I had so much fun making this (rough as) pixel art anyway.  I hope one day it gets resurrected, maybe? But until then, here’s some zombies, yay.

(with a tip of the hat to master pixel artist Paul Robertson in the zombie girl’s eyes)

I don’t even remember how this joke started or what it means any more, but it sounds kinda badass, so I’ll leave it up to your imagination. For monkeh and emmajeans.
(WAIT: MYSTERY SOLVED)

2014 LET’S GO PEOPLE

MOTTO FOR 2014:
Do Shit Properly Or Not At All (aka ‘Go Hard or Go Home’)

TO DO LIST FOR 2014:

- properly do up at least three excellent brand identity projects that I can submit to design blogs

- try to win some kind of award at work

- work on dynamic lighting in my paintings

- get some serious work done on the novel I’m writing with my friend

- get some serious work done on the iPhone game I’m working on with my other friend

- get as close at humanly possible to 100% in Bravely Default.

Uh, when I write it all down that’s a lot of things - but fuck it, let’s own 2014. WHO’S WITH ME?

"Oops."

Honestly this was way less sad when I started - I was trying for a sassy skeleton girl, but it took a turn when I fixed some anatomy things.  Oh well…?  Click for full-size, if you like that sort of thing.
Thanks to mactasia and himesan for their invaluable “wtf is up with her legs?!” help.
Video game character design Mark #1
Remember this girl? I decided it’d be fun to make a whole character based on the portrait - then for some reason I got all inspired & decided I’m going to make two more, then try to make a video game.  Because why not. ONWARDS TO NO FREE TIME.
